The purpose of the site began as a personal experiment to practise HTML coding. It started as a .wordpress.com subdomain, and after a desire for greater control, several PHP-based scripts were installed, including phpBB, SMF, and XMB. Over time, WordPress became the preferred platform, and the site evolved into a personal blog. On 15 March 2024, the personal blog content was separated into another website, and this site transitioned into a professional portfolio and side blog.
The site is primarily a professional portfolio website. Updates are published depending on the time of year. The writing style is fact-driven, and all content is managed manually without any automatic posting or use of artificial intelligence. English is the main language used on the site. All comments or referenced material are accompanied by source citations to ensure accuracy and transparency.
The site is owned and managed by Miroslav Glavić, with day-to-day operations conducted in Toronto, Canada. Administrative inquiries can be sent through miroslavglavic.com/contact. The site uses WordPress as its content management system and employs the Jannah theme by TieLabs. Hosting is provided by FMGIC, with servers located in Pori, Finland. Backups are performed manually to ensure data integrity.
Typography across the site uses the Flapper font for the logo, while the Zekton font is used for the body text. The primary colour palette is red. The logo design and creation were completed by Miroslav Glavić. External API integrations include Instagram, OpenWeatherMap, and TikTok, used to enhance functionality and engagement.
